Fans were not on hand to see Trent Magill, meterologist for WEWS News Channel 5, walking around with his camera at the track last Saturday. Most are probably wondering ‘why was a weatherman at the track filming racecars?’ Really the question is why not, but Trent was visiting the track to catch some footage for his upcoming Saturday morning weather special on Lake County Speedway.
Most do not realize how big an impact weather plays on racing. Like any other outdoor activity, racing is at the mercy of Mother Nature. While our Rob Moore Attorney at Law Figure Eight class can handle the wetness, and sudden storms, our Spee-D-Metals Limited Late Model division does not fair the same.
Tune in this Saturday morning at 7:00am to WEWS News Channel 5, to see the entire story and catch the interview with Spee-D-Metals Limited Late Model driver Keith Platz.
Be sure to come out this Saturday for Think Pink Night and help us raise awareness for the Susan G. Komen foundation and their fight against breast cancer. Grandstands open at 4:00pm, racing begins at 6:00pm. Come FEEL the Excitement!
